Marni S/S 2011

Some gorgeous monday morning catwalk inspiration from the Marni show last year.
Have a happy week, even if it's cold and rainy!

Dennis Basso S/S 2011

Very gorgeous collection that I love, with enough ruffles and boring colours to keep Amy interested. Why don't we have hundreds of extravagant occasions so that we could actually wear things like this!!

UNIF.

This is cute, I like. Very summer especially the hippie prints. . . Lizzie should I become a hippie? great plan. xx

Sun.

The weather is stunning. I (and half of Auckland, apparently) am deliriously happy about this.
It's sunbathing weather. It's adventure weather. It's lying on the road weather. It's falling in love weather. It's iced tea and cocktail weather.
Fingers crossed it stays like this.

I Love Rings: The Great Discussion.

Lizzie: I plan on wearing at least one ring on each finger some night. and getting very dressed up.

Amy: I will not. I like rings, but I have an irrational fear of ring overkill.

Lizzie: Well I do not. Is this similar to your irrational fear of crazy nail polish?

Amy: No. I have now conquered that fear due to the cute purple I bought with you and stealing Emma's mint green over the weekend. Nutcase coloured polish = awesome.

Lizzie: Bueno. You are a nutcase and I look forward to seeing this. Buy many colours and I shall borrow them all.

Amy: Bueno. xx

Saving and I.

Saving is the bane of my life at the moment. Now I know that going away on a 7 week excursion to Europe should bring smugly delightful looks to my face, but honestly, it HURTS.

Saving sucks. I am (regretfully) not a person that can see a situation as 'this will all pay off in the long run.' I am horrifically impatient and giving up my morning coffee or monthly magazine or forever telling friends 'I'm just window shopping' is no fun at all. Even when I know I will reap rewards later.
But the countdown days are flying past far faster than my dollars are stacking up in my savings account, and Houston, we have a problem.

Fashion week and the hype, and new and wonderful online shops are not helping. I need to exercise self control.
So saving, I've got to get serious. I am divorcing my spending life and shacking up with saving. I vow to improve our rocky relationship - I've hired Lizzie as a counsellor. We are going to be inseparable. I will say 'no thankyou' to shopping invites, and play scenes of a white christmas and morocco in my mind. . . I'll keep you posted. Wish me luck. xx
PS: Willa Holland looks way cuter saving than I do haha

Foreign Affairs.

Travel is possibly the greatest love of my life. We have this phenomenal ability to cross to the other side of this enormous world and experience so many different things.

And even just up and down this wee country of ours. Various trips to Wellington and awesome Palmey North remind me how cool it is that we can climb into a big metal machine and pop out somewhere completely different, often to see people we miss terribly.

We talk about time travel and teleporting and crazy things of the future, but don't forget the crazy things of the now.

I would rather spend less now and go to cool places. . . there'll be a rant soon about how much saving sucks though. Just you wait. It's doing my head in.
